Course Description: Educational research confirms the importance of “blended “forms of interaction in the teaching and learning environment. Meaningful learning achieved through varied forms of interaction with faculty, course content, and peers ensures a rich and meaningful educational experience ultimately resulting in student retention. iTeach is a highly interactive session that will focus on research-based teaching and learning strategies for achieving quality interaction in today’s internet connected iWorld. Regardless of your teaching environment (traditional face-to-face, the flipped/blended classroom, or distance/online) come “iNTERACT” with your peers as we dive deep into the teaching and learning environment made possible through technology!

Learning Objectives:

• Assess what educational research teaches us about the power of interaction for creating meaningful learning environments.
• Apply what we know from educational research to develop strategies for increasing the three “I’s” of interaction in our teaching and learning environments.
• Explore a wide range of technology available for accomplishing the three “I’s”: faculty-student, student-content, and student-student interaction.
• In collaboration with course participants, design an interactive teaching and learning environments using readily available technology.
