Healthy People 2030 provides a set of national benchmarks to improve the Nation’s health.  Included within Healthy People 2030 are 11 core oral health objectives and 1 developmental objective.  This webinar, focusing on preventive visits for low-income youth, is the 11th in a series called the Healthy People 2030 Oral Health Objective Promotion Webinar Series and is designed to draw attention to this objective and strategies that public health dental programs and private dental practices can use to help address the objective.  This webinar coincides with National Dental Hygiene Month, as dental hygienists play a very important role in prevention of dental diseases.  This webinar is hosted by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) in partnership with the National Dental Hygienists’ Association (NDHA), the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), and the Healthy People 2030 Federal Oral Health Workgroup.

Learning Objectives:
  • Define and describe Healthy People 2030 Oral Health Objective OH-09
  • Describe the disparities that exist in preventive dental services in youth by income level
  • Implement at least one activity in your community to specifically address Oral Health Objective OH-09
