Learn how to manage risk through clinical, education and documentation processes. From contract principles in clinical care situations and negligence related to delivering oral health care services, to explaining informed consent and informed refusal, this is your chance to learn how risk management strategies can be outlined for the dental team.

Speaker: 
Professor Pamela Zarkowski, JD, MPH, BSDH, is currently Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Detroit Mercy.  She earned a Bachelor of Science, a Masters of Public Health in Dental Public Health and Teaching Certificate in Community Dentistry from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University.  An educator for more than 40 years, she has served in various administrative roles at the School of Dentistry and the University. She has held leadership roles in national organizations, provided workshops and published in the area of professional, legal and ethical issues for dental and health professionals. She is a past president of the American Dental Education Association, Society for Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine and the American Society for Dental Ethics.
