In this webinar you will:
  • Explain the historical development of the ADHA Standards for Clinical Dental Hygiene Practice and their significance in promoting evidence-based care.
  • Identify and describe the components of a comprehensive health and oral health assessment.
  • Demonstrate the process of analyzing assessment data to formulate accurate dental hygiene diagnoses (DHDx) and understand their role in early intervention and prevention.
  • Outline the steps involved in creating a dental hygiene care plan based on DHDx, including prioritizing needs, setting goals, selecting intervention strategies, and scheduling appointments.
  • Discuss the continuous process of evaluating the effectiveness of dental hygiene care.

Speakers:
Beth Jordan, RDH, MS, FADHA has been a dental hygienist for over 25 years. She currently works for Procter & Gamble with their Global Professional and Scientific relations team for the Professional Oral Care business where she contributes to scientific dissemination, prevention education and passionately serves P&Gs commitment to oral health and prevention. In her role she serves as a liaison responsible for communications with professional and industry associations, educational institutions, and the dental professional community. She is a speaker, author, and scientist.
 
Andrea Johnson, RDH, MS
has 22 years with Procter & Gamble and is currently a Senior Groups Dental Hygiene Leader. She has held numerous roles for the company and resides in Texas. She enjoys sharing the science within the dental world, working with speakers, association work and building capabilities with Crest Oral B Professional Oral Care Division. She holds a master’s in psychology and an extended certification in juvenile behavior counseling.

JoAnn Gurenlian, RDH, MS, PhD, AAFAAOM, FADHA is the Director of Education, Research and Advocacy for ADHA. She is Professor Emerita for the Department of Dental Hygiene at Idaho State University and an Affiliate Fellow in the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Gurenlian is Past President of the International Federation of Dental Hygienists and the ADHA. She is the co-author of the textbook "Preventing Medical Emergencies" and author of over 300 publications in dental hygiene, dental and medical journals. She has conducted over 600 presentations at regional, national and international events. Dr. Gurenlian is the recipient of numerous awards including the IADR Oral Health Research Group 25th Oral Health Research Award, ADHA Presidential Citations, and Esther Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award.
