Get ready to inject some rare excitement into tax season with our one-hour crash course, "Tax Tips and Tricks for the Dental Hygienist"! Tailored for those who thrive on scaling teeth and saving smiles rather than sorting through tax forms, this session tackles the unique challenges of tax filing. Discover practical strategies for deductions, learn how to assert your rights, and safeguard yourself from financial mishaps. Whether you’re deciphering tax forms or optimizing deductions, join us for an hour of enlightenment, and perhaps a sprinkle of laughter, as we strive to make taxes as painless as a routine prophylaxis!

Upon completion of this program, you will be able to:

  • Confidently identify common tax forms like the W-4 and W-9, and know when to use them.
  • Recognize tax deductions applicable to dental hygienists, distinguishing between allowable deductions and common misconceptions, thus maximizing their potential tax savings.
  • Gain clarity on recent employment classification laws affecting dental hygienists, along with practical tips for understanding their employment status and guarding against misclassification.
  • Explain various tax payment methods, including quarterly and annual payments.
  • Understanding the tax responsibilities associated with being an independent contractor.
