Course Description: This course is designed to provide educators with the knowledge and skills needed to teach dental pharmacology effectively. It focuses on helping educators meet teaching methodology requirements for CODA standards, developing pedagogical strategies, creating engaging content, and assessing student comprehension in the context of pharmacological principles applied to dental hygiene.
Learning Objectives:
- Explain the importance of pharmacology in dental hygiene education.
- Identify and apply CODA standards.
- Apply Bloom’s Taxonomy to develop pharmacology learning activities.
- Explore the principles of social emotional learning.
- Implement active learning strategies.
