Course Description: This course provides dental hygiene educators with key methodologies for enhancing clinical instruction for Oral Radiology educators and lab faculty. Participants will explore and apply effective educational methodologies specific to radiology instruction, including the significance of clinical teaching, alignment with CODA standards and documentation of compliance, while also developing skills to navigate ethical dilemmas and understand relevant legal practices in radiologic education. Join us to enhance your teaching effectiveness and improve the overall quality of dental hygiene education.

Learning Objectives:

  • Analyze and apply evidence-based educational methodologies to enhance clinical instruction in radiology, with a focus on active learning and student engagement.
  • Interpret and implement CODA standards relevant to radiology education, including strategies for demonstrating and documenting compliance effectively.
  • Evaluate ethical and legal considerations in radiology instruction, and apply appropriate strategies to resolve dilemmas encountered in academic and clinical teaching environments.
