Course Description: This course will engage and inspire pain management educators to incorporate current, evidence-based education methodologies. The course will explore what makes an effective educator and how to understand one’s own teaching style to unlock your teaching potential. It provides understanding of and solutions for current learners’ diverse and everchanging styles and needs. It includes best teaching practices for didactic, pre-clinical, clinical and board preparation. It equips educators with ready to integrate examples and methodology strategies to enhance and develop high quality pain management courses and curricula.

  • Discover faculty characteristics essential to effective teaching.
  • Integrate best teaching practices to address diverse learners’ needs.
  • Differentiate effective didactic, pre-clinical, clinical and board preparation assignments at various learning levels.
  • Value the importance of formative and summative evaluations in creating competence.
