Course Description: This course provides dental hygiene educators with key methodologies for enhancing clinical instruction and ensuring faculty calibration. Participants will explore ways to integrate evidence-based calibration methods within their respective institutions. Educators will cultivate skills to align their teaching methods and philosophies with competency standards, promoting confidence in evaluation skills. Learning Objectives:
- Develop an appreciation for educational methodologies related to clinical instruction and calibration: Recognize the importance of effective teaching strategies, collaborative assessment, and consistent evaluation practices.
- Integrate Evidence-Based Practices: Educators will learn to integrate evidence-based approaches into their clinical teaching strategies, enhancing student learning outcomes and fostering the development of competent dental hygiene practitioners.
