Course Description: Through the lens of two clinician-hygienist leaders, we invite you to join a dynamic conversation exploring practical strategies to deliver effective preventive care education chairside. Acknowledging that the clinical practice setting is fast-paced and demanding, this session will highlight the power of elevating prevention in clinical workflows and the evidence of at-home oral care regimens to complement in office care to drive positive patient outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize the evolving role of the dental hygienist as the clinical practice leader in prevention, patient education and behavior change.
- Exploring the evidence of at home-oral hygiene routines, to complement in office care, including brushing, flossing, and rinsing as a critical component to drive positive patient outcomes.
- Diving into key practical strategies on managing clinical workflow efficiencies and delivering personalized, effective patient education chairside in a busy environment to ultimately enhance patient, provider and practice.
